Lonely ..

I was a lonely wanderer, searching for a place to belong, you came into my life and gave me love, a place to call home. home is where the heart is, it doesn’t always have four walls. sometimes it can be a park bench, a homeless shelter, no matter where we lay our heads we are together and love counts the most. we had our trials in life, even a few brief spats and separations but you had my heart as no one ever before, we always made up and got back together, loving each other ever the more. now you are gone and I can’t be with you for awhile, my aching heart is killing me, I cannot smile. you became sick and wasted away, why oh why did you have to leave me all alone? I wanted to go with you but I have to wait, wait till my name is called and I hope you come with Jesus to carry me away, this I wait for impatiently each and every day.

Woman Wish

Wish I was a butterfly
With colorful wings soaring up high
Gracefully singing into the air
With such silent notes, songs never heard
No one could guess where I will lead
No one could notice the heart that weeps
For such soundless voice only tears will show
Fading as I may... they will never ever know

Angle of Mercy

She spent many years wasted in searching

Always believing their love was abiding

There are times when will upset me and cause me unwanted anger, 

but no matter what " I will always love you".

There are cruel words you might say that will cause me hurt and bring me sadness,

but no matter what " I will always love you".

There are going to be unwise decisions that you will make that will disappoint me,

but no matter what " I will always love you".

There are actions you might act upon that will cause me to worry about you,

but no matter what " I will always love you". 

There will be moments where you will make me cry and bring me to tears,

but no matter what " I will always love you".

There will be unforgivable mistakes that you bring upon me, 

but no matter what " I will always love you".

There will be lies told to me in which you test my trust in you, 

but no matter what " I will always love you".

In life there are struggles, arguments and challenges we will have to endure but no matter what happens, I want you to know that " I will always love you", now and forever!

Good Night My Love!

As I am saying good night at the end of the day,

And you are not here, but many miles away,

My heart is so empty and so lonely inside,

As I wipe away a tear I am trying to hide.

I close my eyes and try to go to sleep,

But with the sadness inside I begin to weep.

Suddenly I remember what you once said to me,

Just meet me in the stars, waiting for you I will be.

When distance tends to keep us apart,

Remember I still hold you near in my heart.

When the night together, can't be ours,

Just close your eyes and meet me in the stars.

Remembering those words, I begin to smile,

And gently close my eyes, lessening the miles.

I can see the stars, oh how beautifully arranged,

But you are not there, no hug to exchange.

I sit alone waiting, with hope in my heart,

No longer wanting to be kept apart.

Suddenly in the distance, a shadow appears,

A tear rolls down my face and the image is clear.

Sad apart

I treasured you in my heart,
I wished we'd never be apart,
Coz you're the best thing I've ever had,
I never thought I could be this sad.
You told me you're better off alone,
Somehow I believed you and I tried to be strong.
Deep inside me I know something is wrong,
But because I loved you I continued to hold on.
And then one day I woke up with tears in my eyes,
I told myself "that's enough" and so I realized,
That I've given everything I've ever had,
But despite all of these, you chose to break my heart.
It's true I've never been perfect,
But I thought you told me that every one has it's own defects,
I know I hurt you, I know I made you cry,
But I've always been true to you, my love was never a lie.
So go on, live your life the way it should be,
I'm finally letting go, so now you're free,
I'm moving on, but I will always remember,

Our Kids

What a glorious day 
When our souls intertwined and our hearts danced together.
When you flowed in me and a flower blossomed inside.
When a heart began to beat
Life awoke from sleep all because of us.
Our blood joined and formed a third party
Like a supernatural show of illusion.
Slowly a human was formed 
Inside of another, implanted by yet another.
We amaze me, she amazes me!
You helped me achieve what none can do alone.
I gave you a piece of you and you a piece of me.
The amazing transformation 
from inside to the world was just overwhelming.
I wish you were there.
Just the fact that our babies 
a living, breathing creature of God 
We created life together.
A bond was built forever in that instant
That you touched so deep and implanted yourself.
Every time I look at our kids I see you 
I see me 
I see yesterday 
I see today 
I see tomorrow 
I see eternity.
I feel joy 
I feel love 
I feel loss

The Secrets Of A Good Marriage

Growing up I've learnt about love,
I've been surrounded by it everyday.
I'm so glad you've both found it,
And it's why we're here today.
They say there's secrets to a good marriage,
That there are rules to obey,
But the most important rules of love,
Are what you two do everyday.
It's the ''hey babes'' in the morning,
It's how she makes his tea,
It's the way he smiles at her,
Such a sweet thing to see.
It's never being to old to hold hands,
Or to watch movies on the couch,
It's accepting all the flaws,
Even when the other's a grouch.
It's telling him he's not going grey,
It's the ''You look fine in those jeans''
It's ignoring the mid-life crisis,
and all her little ''scenes''.It's facing the world as one,
And it's more than love at first sight,
It's together being a family,
Each and every day and night.
It's the way he looks into her eyes,
It's the way that she looks too,
It's why they stand before us,
and it's why they said ''I do''.And now I stand here today,
On this important moment in life,
With two people very in love,
Now husband and wife.
Growing up, I've learnt about love,
and seeing it today proves it true,
You've both taught me so much,
And I'd be lucky to be half as happy as you.

Dwindling Love

Days go by so slowly 

They seem to never end, 

Missing her is beyond words 

You've lost your best friend. 

Loneliness empowers you 

The days are hard to bear, 

You go to sleep with heartbreak 

Awaken, not to find her there. 

Sometimes the hurt is not as strong 

As strong as in the past, 

The nights go by more swiftly 

Your bed seems not so vast. 

You feel guilty that the hurt is dwindling

Yet free of the grasp it holds, 

No longer a prisoner of the past 

Life is now in your control.

Hugs Not Drugs

The power of addiction is a horrible disease.
You make think it relieves pressure,
Or bring pain to ease.

You will soon come to realize,
That you are so very wrong;
Whether it’s after twelve lines,
Or eight hits from a bong.

It always starts with pot,
No matter how sure you are.
That’s how it started for me,
And at twenty I was behind bars.

At times you may think,
That you can have a few drinks;
But a few turns into many,
And soon you’ll be kissing the sink.

You lose some of your relatives,
And even more of your friends.
Before you see it coming,
This disease will bring your life to an end.

So after writing this poem,
I’m asking you now:
Do you still want to use,
Or make people proud?

Stone garden

Stone garden amid a green pasture; gray, foreboding clouds above.
It's right there, in front of me, wooden train bound for heaven.
Unfamiliar but knowing eyes staring back at us.
She is released through our tears,
Through the balloons drifting skyward.
Nothing's immortal but the scent of a flower;
Roses and carnations, roses and carnations.
The trees sway and whisper, carry emotions on the wind.
There is peace amidst our sorrows;
Just as life springs from death.
And the grass is always green in the quiet garden of stones.
And through the clouds, the sun still shines.

ARE WE INSANE

The earth is stained with human anguish,
By such infamous deeds we can’t dismiss,
Why should we all die in terrible torment,
Or be stuck down at any unjust moment.
With our beautiful cities laid waste in ashes,
When the army’s of the powers embrace in clashes,
While the horn of the oppressor is blown,
And the seeds of destruction are sown.
It is for the eyes of the world to find every fault, 
And to correct them before our civilization is naught,
What good is it to say that victory was mine,
When in doing so I severed every family line.
Blacks and whites and all shades between,
Know we’re heading for more conflicts then there’s ever been,
And how will we receive Christ when he returns to earth again,
Will he be nailed to a cross once more by us. 
ARE WE INSANE
