In a dream
I met you again
And wished so deeply
I could get to know you
But
There was a gleam in our life, a look
a glance
a stare
that said to me we'd met before.
And then what joy (a surplus passion) wonderment and thanks
A smile to last forever
That bled into a dream on waking, Leaving a curious sigh.
For I had remembered my favorite childhood toys were lost
Grown over
In a dusty back-room.
In a house where I no longer live by my soul.
