Life is

Sometimes hearing sometimes deaf
Sometimes green fruit sometimes a fallen leaf
Sometimes speaking sometimes dumb
Sometimes sensitive sometimes numb
Sometimes shallow sometimes deep
Sometimes arid sometimes damp
Sometimes honour sometimes damn
Sometimes king sometimes clown
Sometimes full sometimes hollow
Sometimes dim sometimes glow
Sometimes stagnant sometimes flow
Sometimes quick sometimes slow
Whatever life is …………
Stand straight, never, never bent or bow
Remain glad, never, never sad or low.

Make the best use of your talents

We have all been told many times in our life
To strive for the highest
Go for the gold, try to be number one
But in the real world
We all cannot be number one
That means - not all will be Mr. President
Then, if you cannot be Mr. President
Become the best senator there is
Be the best congressperson there is
Not everybody will be Mr. Editor
Why not be the best writer there is
Be the best reporter for your paper
If you cannot be the chief justice
Become the best judge in your state
Be the best lawyer that ever lived
Surely, not everybody will become
The chief software architect
Be the best computer programmer in your city
Be the best software developer there is
If you cannot be the chancellor
Become the best professor in your field
Be the best teacher any student can find
If you cannot be the chief of medicine
Become the best medical doctor there is
Be the best specialist in your field
If you cannot be the chief of police
Then become the best police person loved by all
Not all will be chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff
Then become the best general in your battalion
Be the best officer liked by all soldiers
Become the best soldier in your unit
Not all will become the chief of naval staff
Then you can become the best sailor in the navy
Similarly, there can only be one chief of air staff
Then, why not become the best pilot in the air-force
Always make the best use of your talents

Unwritten Rules

All professions have their own rules and regulations
Some professions have more unwritten than written rules.
Do you hope to run for office one day?
Are you planning to get elected sometimes?
Or you are wondering about your re-election
Remember, there are written and unwritten rules
First, you must be a friendly and sociable person
You should be the approachable type
This means people feel comfortable talking to you
You must like all classes of people
Irrespective of their race, color of skin or religion
You must demonstrate true concern for people
This means you can put yourself in shoes of others
You must have honest feelings for people
Hypocrisy and insincerity will derail your plans
People must see you as a transparent individual
There should be accountability and responsibility
This means you must be answerable for all your deeds. You must be charitable and openhanded at all times. This means you must demonstrate generosity always
You must possess credibility and integrity
That means somebody who is believable and candid
People must perceive you as trustworthy and reliable
You must be a very persuasive speaker
An influential orator who can change peoples minds
You must have the ability to sell anything to anyone
Have power to convince others about your noble cause
You must show to the people you are their best choice
Considering an alternative will be an erroneous decision
Remember that your constituents come first
Good luck with your future plans

What does love mean to you ?

Love
is one of the most popular word anywhere
Mention the word Love in a crowd or to a group
You are sure to get their undivided attention
Love means many things to many people
He and she are in love, they are in love
What is this word they call ... love?
Do we have to sleep with each other?
In order to demonstrate our love
Some say, not necessarily so, because
There is parental love, brotherly love
Sisterly love, and love of one’s neighbour
There are also marital love and family love
Many say it is only sexual love that involves
Sleeping with each other or going to bed
Then, how do you define love?
It is love that turns tears into laughter
It is love to care very much for our family
It is love to give something to the poor
It is love to be generous to beggars
It is love to help the needy and the destitute
It is love to remember the homeless
When we are about to lie down in our home
It is love to remove obstacles and impediments
From the path of our neighbours
It is love to put ourselves in the position
Of others before we behave to them
It is love not to close our eyes or walk-away
When we see injustice been perpetrated
It is love to recognize that we human beings
Are not equally talented and gifted
By the way, what does love mean to you?

Now it is time to answer

Everybody likes to be called a good person
All of us will prefer to be labelled a nice human being
What have you done to be called a good person?
What did you do to wear the label – a nice human being?
Have you done any favour to anybody today?
Have you assisted somebody this week?
Have you helped anybody this month?
Have you done any good to someone this year?
When last did you give money to the homeless?
When last did you show generosity to a beggar?
When last did you donate to a charity cause?
Have you ever suggested a better way of doing things?
Have you ever given an advice that improved someone’s life?
Have you ever made a recommendation that saved money?
Have you ever made a suggestion that saved time?
When last did you buy something nice for your parents?
When last did you present a gift to your wife or husband?
Do you have to wait for an anniversary to be generous?
When last did you volunteer for a good cause?
When last did you perform or do something
Nice and pleasant for your neighbours?
Now you ask – who are those neighbours?
Your neighbours are your wife, husband, partners,
Sons, daughters, co-workers, friends, associates,
In-laws, parents and those fellows near your house
Are you a good or bad person?
Before you provide a very honest answer
Look at yourself in the mirror
Search your soul and do a self-analysis
Are you a good or bad person?
Now it is time to answer

What is your problem !!

Have you ever met any human who has no problem?
Even the happiest of humans have their problems
Similarly, the super rich have their own problems
Some husbands have problems with cheating wives
Many wives have problems of unfaithful husbands
Various families have problems of disobedient kids
Also children have problems of negligent parents
Employers have problems with disloyal workers
Lots of people have problems of insufficient funds
Inevitably, as long as we humans live on planet earth
we are sure to have one problem or another
The question here is – do we have problems
because we are too ambitious or because
we crave and yearn for what we want and not
necessarily what we actually need?
This is a loaded question with no easy answers
Many human problems are not related to
ambitions, desires, aspirations and objectives
Diligent drivers have problems with careless ones
The honest citizens have problems with the thieves
While the thieves have problems with the police
the police too have problems with the
slow and time consuming judicial system
Voters have problems with do-nothing politicians
The politicians who look after their own pockets
instead of truly caring for their constituents
Teachers too have problems with poor students
Can we human beings ever be free of problems?
Is it possible to live in perpetual happiness?
Your answer is as good as mine

My best friend

Everybody needs friends, we all have friends
Some friends are closer to us than our families
If we happen to fall, there are friends to pick us up
What will our life be without friends?
There are many categories of friendship
There are casual friends, bad friends and good friends
The question here is – who is your best friend?
Friends who can turn your tears into laughter
Is your wife your best friend?
I mean the friend you go to
When you need honest advice
Is your husband your best friend?
I mean the friend who knows you
More than you know yourself
Is your brother or sister your best friend?
I mean the friend who always assists you
To solve difficult personal problems
Is your father or mother your best friend?
I mean the friend you feel safe to keep secrets
Are your in-laws your best friend?
I mean the friend you can tell anything
Is your boss or co-worker your best friend?
I mean the friend who can cover you up at work
Is your son or daughter your best friend?
I mean the friend you use as sounding board
For all your confidential and private thoughts
Is your former classmate your best friend?
I mean the friend who cheers you up on bad days
Whoever may be your best friend, remember that
A friend in need is always a friend indeed

universe hope

Every human being living on this earth hope for something
Poor people hope that one day money will come their way
The rich folks hope to multiply their assets before long
Several men hope for a wife who is as caring as their mother
Many women hope for husbands who is as loving as their father
Children always hope for parents who will give them everything
Bankers hope that everybody will pay their mortgages in time
Thieves and robbers hope the police should stop harassing them
While the police hope that every person will be law-abiding
Priests and clerics hope that everyone will live a sacred life
Experienced nurses hope the doctors will treat them with respect
Medical doctors hope their patients will recuperate faster
Careful drivers hope that other drivers will drive like them
Teachers hope all students will do their home-work regularly
While the students hope the teachers will give them easy exams
The colleges hope that all students will pay their tuition promptly
Farmers always hope for good and abundant harvest
Lawyers hope more and more people will need their services
Fishermen hope that more and more fishes run into their nets
School-girls always hope for rich and generous boy-friends
All politicians hope to get elected and re-elected
Employers hope their workers will volunteer for overtime
Every architect always hope to design the best building in town
Builders hope to showcase the tallest building as their own work
The mechanics always hope more people will buy used-vehicles

The point is ..
What are your personal hopes on this earth?
What are your hopes for your family?
What are your hopes for your country?
The day we humans stop hoping on this earth
Will be the day we cease to be members of this beautiful planet

Man in the ground

Under the tight grip, of total emptiness .. I stood alone
In a pensive mind, on a lonely ground.
Wild memories crowded in unruly, started fighting.
Anarchy rolled, from the top, of the treacherous hill
Dyke broke, tears never rolled down, tumultuous feelings, Rushed in, from inside out kicked and butted, Like a bull.
Jaws tighten complexities turned more complicated forced me to contemplate ‘'What is life! ''
Moon in the sky above with a purpose
Man in the ground 'n "what if" killed his dreams.

If I

If I was to cry would you hold me in your arms until I stopped?
If I was to die would you hold me until the last breath went out of my soul?
If I was to fly would you throw me in the air and be ready to catch me when i fell?
If I was to love would you hold my hand and kiss me when I said it was you?
If you are able to do all of these things I will be able to give you the love of all the heartbeats I have to offer.

Did it beat..!

Happiness so distant, cries so near
calling our your name as i sleep
dreaming of just a dream
loving off broken distant love
i am told many fall in love
holding hearts in the place where they stand alone
alone... waiting for the screams of others to break them
leaving them to suffer broken and unsatisfied
this distant love i hold so dear
is in the place my heart once beat
the questions of my mind thoroughly throw out
ignoring the truth of my cries
believing the minds fooling qualities
why does love mean hurt when such a beauty of just a word
as if my heart can cry through my tears
wondering how a simple person can break you
break you, shatter you, hurt you but only on the inside
on the outside i just smile
believing nothing but a dream of love is wrong
shadowing the truth behind this eternal breath
i know how much he hurt me,
i can feel the broken heart
living as though never once did it beat

What ..If

What if i fell for you at first glance?
What if you had given me a chance?
Would it have been disastrous or a great romance?
What if we had never met?
What if first impression made you upset? ?
Would we be known as enemies or friends yet? ? ?
What if everything I've told you were true?
What if you found out you loved me too? ?
Would we go for the opportunity or wouldn't know what to do? ? ?
What if..!
What if there's no what if's?
I've known from the start i fell for you at first glance.
Life is all about chances.
Just let me and I'll show you romance.
Everything is set.
We've already met.
I doubt I've made you upset, for us to be enemies yet.
Everything I've said has been true.
I wouldn't know about you.
But i go for opportunities because i truly, madly, deeply miss you.

thru time

When I was five how I wanted to be ten, I just longed to be a young man,My mind would wander now and then, I wanted to be in the grown ups clan.
When I reached ten I thought of being twenty, By then I'd be driving my car,Time for the future, well I still had plenty, getting older was a distance to far.
Now I've hit twenty I've nothing to fear, time fades past me so slow,
I'm still a young man so I've nothing to fear, I've still got a long time to go.
Thirty years old and it's still not too bad, I've a wife and children I love,My health is good I love being a dad, My life is truly a gift from above,The big four zero has finally come, I now watch, as my parents grow old,The thought of that is making me feel numb, as I know it cannot be controlled.
My children have flown, This life can be really strange,Back when I was five I wish I had known, growing older you cannot exchange.
Be careful what you wish for it may come true, Cherish life for it's far too short, Enjoy what you have age you cannot subdue, When you're young these facts you distort.
I'm now forty one years old how I wish I were five, Hindsight's such a wonderful thing, All those I loved dearly would still be alive, I'd be thinking of what the future might bring.
You must live for today forget tomorrow, Just be thankful for being alive, Though there will be joy as well as sorrow, It's how we cope that makes us all thrive.
Life is precious don't ever wish it away, When it's gone it becomes part of the past, Enjoy your years every wondrous day,
Treat Each living Second As Your Last

I've no hope

I hope your happy with your life
I hope you see that this is all wrong
I hope you realise that your not perfect
I hope you see that money's not worth it
I hope you realise that family comes first
I hope you see that my smile was rehearsed
I hope you see that your tearing me apart
I hope you someday grow a heart
I hope someday I will want to see you
I hope someday I wont have to see you
I hope you suffer, but I don't want that
I hope you die, but I don't mean that
I hope someday your 'love' will be real
I hope someday you will 'feel'
I hope you realise that money cant heal
I hope someday you'll feel, what I feel
I hope that before you die
I hope to tell you, I wont cry
I hope that I see you one last time
I hope I get to tell you this:
'I wish I never knew you
because of you....I've no hope.

Nothing last forever

They give you a life they look after you, To them you're their reason for living, Whatever happens if troubles ensue, They'll be caring and always forgiving.
Do they own you or is it the other way round, In fact neither statement is true, Parent child relationships were made to astound, You love them and they'll always love you.
They will want you to achieve so much more, Regardless you will fill them with pride, With you they will have a unique rapport, Their devotion will never subside.
They'll try to teach you about good and bad, To ensure you avoid all their mistakes, They'll forever be there be it happy or sad, A good parent just never forsakes.
Yes there'll be times they will get annoyed, You will bring them to total despair, Any troubles you have they will never avoid, For you they will always be there.
You may well think they just interfere, Their aim is to cause you great strife, As you grow older it will become clear, They just want you to have a good life.
They'll try to put up with your mood swings, Watch over you each day as you grow, The good times and problems another year brings, Their love you will feel and will know.
Embarrassing you is a parents right, There'll be times they will drive you wild, Regardless of that they will never lose sight, That to them you will always be their child.
You will do things that will surprise, Good parents like nothing more, What you can achieve will open their eyes, That's why it's you they adore.
If you only strive to do your best, Without the need for discord,
If with common sense you are blessed, That will be your parents reward.
When you have children yourself one day, That is when you will learn, The sacrifice your parents had to pay, Mutual respect is a gift both must earn.
Your Mum and Dad are messengers from God, Look after them while they're here, What they do for us we should all applaud, Their actions we must truly revere.
Your parents will give you love and care, That special bond you must never sever, God's trials of life can be so unfair, For the pity is, ‘' They Don't Last Forever ''

A Shroud

Money makes the world go round, I wonder who said that,
It must have been a billionaire, A grass roots spoiled brat.
They take their lead from politicians, Do as I say Not as I do,
They write how to fiddle editions, As more funds they must accrue.
The rich are really all the same, Whether they act or if they sing,
They'll always preach to you and me, Money isn't everything.
Don't you find it really strange, It's actually quite funny, That the very people who make this claim, Have all got loads of money.
Now I'm not being flippant, Nor am I being abrupt, But cash along with power, Really does corrupt.
They love their yachts and fancy cars, But you must always be aware, Though it's you and I who make them rich, For us they just don't care.
As they live their lives of splendour, They ignore the plight of others, To sharing they'll never surrender, Their self delusion and arrogance smothers.
These greedy people the world over, Are so obsessed with amassing wealth, As they strive to make their trillions, They tend to ignore their health.
Before they know it's time to go, They shout out, we need more time, We've got loads of lovely dosh to spend, To take us now would be a crime.
When they arrive at Heavens gate, They all put on a frown,
No debit cards or hard fast cash, Just a plain white gown.
Always remember,

On Earth you were rich and famous, You stood out in a crowd,
But you cannot take it with you, ‘'There Are No Pockets In A Shroud''

My ordinary life

Yes there's been laughter and the tears,
Our life isn't always what it appears,
What the secret I hear you ask,
As in happiness we seem to bask,
Don't make life a massive task,
It will keep your flame alight.
Love each other with a will,
Never treat marriage as a drill,
Staying in love is truly a skill,
Respect really does unite.
Keep arguments few and far between,
Don't always say what you mean,
Never make your partner green,
Or their ire you'll incite.
Always apologise when you're wrong,
That will keep you both on song,
For each other you must be strong,
To each other be polite.
Life is really hard enough,
Take the smooth with the rough,
Be there when the times get tough,
Of each other never lose sight.
Don't insult or cause affray,
Always give your spouse a say,
You'll live to fight another day,
Never deal in spite.
The greatest secret of them all,
Is to ensure that you don't brawl,
The golden rule I must install,
Is, ‘' The Wife Is Always Right ‘'

My love for you

My love for you Woman..!
Is not an extended Roman type of war, there is no need to come back to the crusades to capture your skin; Your heart and mind; Your face is a desert moving sand dreaming of a new land.
There is nothing to agree or sign with you, Don't consider another Warsaw Pact, or Another Geneva Convention.
Nothing will Help!
You only have to admit 'n accept this seventy thousands years old rooted Love;  like the tree that stood between Eve and Adam.
Oh, Be waiting there; sooner you and I will be we again.

Do you readily believe them and why?

If the say that life is hard to bear, do you readily believe them, and why?
If they say that love is pure fiction, do you readily believe them and why?
If they whisper that life is just a dream, Can you tell which one we are living in?
If they whisper that you are being loved, by the greatest lover since the dawn of time.
Can you feel his love surrounding and protecting you, Or did you already convince yourself it's just a whim?
Because you rather give way, to distrust and despair fed to you by others.
I tell you

The dream of mankind is great, to great to be fathomed by our tiny mind. Cause i came, saw and caught a glimpse of the greatness awaiting us all.
There is no need to believe me off-course, but i do think you should ask yourself, why you rather give way to those, that preach so harshly about hardship and the lack of love in this world.

Normal life

Started out like a tiny seed, planted in mothers womb by a heavenly deed. Enjoyed a celestial season, cherished as i am in a close bond.
Until the time was there, to enter the earthly realm.'n i had to leave, my comfortable place. For the first time; i was completely on my own,
Beating and battering the thoughts come, like in a storm breaching the fragile mind with their power.
Some thoughts seeking a home knock on my door.
Others strong seeking to overwhelm my mind as they invade me. And there are those whom grasp everything which isn't firmly rooted in my consciousness.
Much more will come in in an attempt to overcome and subdue my mind, to join in on the madness we've come to known as normal life
