When insanity becomes routine.

There's a smile but nobody is truly happy,
Just going through the motions while the crowd stands by.
We seem to solve everyone’s problems but our own
While the willingness of routine is just that.
One day dawn shall arise like life from a fire,
To see the day not told.
The greatest tragedies are those laughed at
Maybe because irony is an overbearing truth.
Perhaps there are no more names just eternal ravage
When confusion brings life;
And loathing brings love.
Where are we when hollow emotion brings what we fear;
And when we fear life itself.
No amount of fictitious literacy will fix it,
Every pen runs out of ink;
Every trail ends somewhere.
When not even the bravest of heart
Can stand by and question.
When insanity becomes routine.
While harsh words cut the plane of falsehood
A rush of emotions misleads where we're going;
It blurs where we been
But we're here now;
Standing in a wheat field;
Not told where to go.
Someday everyone will lose themselves in a sea of gold
And watch the light go out.
